ABC is hip, down with the times, cool, happening, etc, etc

2004-01-04 I've been watching alot of football games lately because of the college bowl series and the NFL playoffs. Some of those games come on ABC. Two nights ago, I saw Ice Cube give a three to four-minute opening dialogue about the Cowboys-Panthers game where he discussed what the playoffs meant, what brought the teams there, and just got "rowdy" in general. Tonight for the NCAA National Chmpionship game, Snoop Dogg had a mini-music video that aired at halftime in which he rapped about the game and the two teams. This lasted five minutes. I know because I timed it. I'll give Snoop credit because he did break his streak of 173 consecutive songs that included the spelling of his own name, although he did have "na na nana. na na nana. he-ey-ey Snoooop Dogg" as the chorus, but we'll let that slide.

This brings two points: 1) How many different ways can Snoop Dogg be creative in rhyming the lyrics "Snoop 'D'-'O'-double 'G'"? 2) How low is ABC going to stoop in order to appear "with the times" and more appealing to society today?
