ramblings.

I've gone out of my house a grand total of three nights this Christmas break. Two of those nights were when someone came from out of town to see me.
It's not that I dislike the people who I used to be so close to when we all lived here, when we all grew up together. It's like we've forgotten what it was that made us so close. So, those times we hang out, it's awkward. Forced. It's the same questions over and over again, followed by retelling the same old stories.
My friends from home and I still share the same traits that made us friends in the first place, but it's not as fascinating to share those traits anymore. Is that what it means to grow up? You become less interesting? Or do we just not want to try as hard as we used to when we still thought we had all the time in the world.
